Bamboo and pelican quill flutes in Vilcabamba

This stall in a street of Vilcabamba was held by a Peruvian musician. He makes flutes out of bamboo and pelican quills. Another wind instrument he has is a large seashell that sounds like a boat horn when played.
This flute is a native American flute. It has a soft and deep sound. Very nice. We would have liked to buy one but it was $50, too expensive for here we thought.
This movie does not do justice to the beautiful sound of this flute.
This is the pelican quill flute. It has an interesting high pitch sound.
Angelina tried to play this flute.

While in town that day we heard some music coming from the coliseum so we peeked in and watched this traditional Andean dance rehearsal.
Check out the small kid on this movie!
