The most ancient form of transportation here is the donkey. Many people in Vilcabamba do not own a car or truck. They use donkeys for all kind of jobs. Sugar cane is frequently carried by donkeys. |

Some people cannot access their property without a 4 wheel drive. |
This is Louis riding his bike by a line of taxis. There are at least 3 lines of taxis like this in Vilcabamba. Locals use them frequently for commuting to and from their house. |

They have a cute tiny minivan from "Chevrolet" here that we never saw in the U.S. |
